Regent Street – Footway widening

Regent Street – Footway widening

The City of Westminster, as part of the Governments Covid 19 initiative on social distancing, designed the scheme to increase the existing pavement widths along the length of Regent Street, London W1B. F M Conway were appointed to carry out the 5/6 month contract.

Due to F M Conway’s experience with Scan Kerb the product was proposed for the following reasons:-lightweight-manual Handling; Speed an ease installation; Product availability; No excavation/cart away; Reduced risk of service strike. The product was approved and the whole scheme was completed in just under two months, a reduction of more than half the contract programme. The finished project looks great and the client City of Westminster are delighted with the completed
work.

The overall success of the project, the speed and ease of installation, and the reduced contract period, has prompted the City of Westminster to look at other sites around the borough.

Project completed Jan/Feb 2021
