Gas Triplets, Kings Cross, London
The Triplets project sits just north of St Pancras station. It comprises of 3 separate towers that are connected by the original, refurbished cast-iron gas holder structure, with the building being designed for high spec residential apartments.
H S L on behalf of Bomax worked closely with Maylim & Wilkinson Eyre in conjunction with the Urbastyle designers to provide a detailed package of over 100 drawings for the two number 1st floor GH10 and GH11 Atrium areas. Due to the site programme and the first floor position, with restricted access, some major redesign took place to reduce the overall size and weight of the units. The drawings were then put through an approval and amendment process, before the first trial section was put into production, this was quickly produced, shipped to site and assembled ready for client approval.
Once approved Urbastyle were able to complete the full production run of the required units. Urbastyle produced very high quality be-spoke units to the Architects specification i.e. Anthracite with chamfered edges and a ground/polished surface finish. A combination of the design, quality production and installation stand-ards have produced a finished product that can be enjoyed for years to come The overall pro-ject was completed to a very high standard, with good feedback form the construction team and first residents to occupy the apartments.
